Windows 10X Updates Will Install In Just 90 Seconds
Rotate it from landscape to portrait, flip it to tent mode for desk use (where the hinge is at the top and you can see just one screen or attach the keyboard and apps will automatically rearrange themselves to suit, and the interface adjusts itself for touch- or keyboard/pen input.
Unlike Windows 10, Windows 10X will work more like Android and Chrome OS (the operating system on Chromebooks). This allows it to download and install feature updates in under 90 seconds, Microsoft says.
Performing a Clean Boot can help you start Windows through a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, which can avoid software conflicts while installing Windows updates. In order to perform a clean boot, you need to do:
Tesla has always prided itself on its so-called over-the-air updates, pushing out new code automatically to fix bugs and add features. But one security researcher has shown how vulnerabilities in the Tesla Model X's keyless entry system allow a different sort of update: A hacker could rewrite the firmware of a key fob via Bluetooth connection, lift an unlock code from the fob, and use it to steal a Model X in just a matter of minutes.
The rate at which EIGRP sends hello packets is called the hello interval, and you can adjust it per interface with the ip hello-interval eigrp command. The hold time is the amount of time that a router considers a neighbor alive when it does not receive a hello packet. The hold time is typically three times the hello interval, by default, 15 seconds, and 180 seconds. You can adjust the hold time with the ip hold-time eigrp command.
UPDATE July 12, 2022: As part of the response by Microsoft, a defense in depth variant has been found and fixed in the Windows July cumulative updates. Microsoft recommends installing the July updates as soon as possible.
On Monday May 30, 2022, Microsoft issued CVE-2022-30190 regarding the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT) in Windows vulnerability. On Tuesday June 14, 2022, Microsoft issued Windows updates to address this vulnerability. Microsoft recommends installing the following KB5015805 for Windows 8.1 and below according to the following table. The defense in depth fix is incorporated into the cumulative updates for Windows 10 and newer.
The ISO file for an x86 (32-bit) edition is approximately 3 GB in size. The x64 (64-bit) edition is delivered as an ISO file approximately 4 GB in size. The combined installer is just over 6 GB in size.
If you are running any unmanaged edition of Windows 10 using default settings, these feature updates (the new, official terminology for what were once called upgrades) are delivered through Windows Update. In versions prior to 1903, feature updates download and install automatically. You can schedule the installation for a more convenient time or postpone it for a few days, but you cannot delay the update indefinitely.
Beginning with version 1903, Microsoft began offering feature updates for installation separately from security and reliability updates. The company says these updates will not be downloaded or installed automatically unless the current version is at or near the end of its support window. For more details about these changes, see "Windows 10 Home edition users are big winners as Microsoft overhauls its update process."
On systems running Windows 10 Home and Pro, the support period for each version is 18 months. Windows 10 Enterprise and Education editions have a longer support period of 30 months for the version released in the second half of each year. To manage feature updates based on these support calendars, see "When will you get the next version of Windows 10? Here's how to take control."
If you upgrade over a properly activated copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you can run Setup from within your current Windows installation and you will not be prompted to enter a product key. After the upgrade is complete, your new copy of Windows 10 will be activated with what Microsoft calls a "digital license."
If you are using bootable installation media to perform a clean install on a PC that has never been upgraded to Windows 10 and activated, you will need to enter a product key. You can enter a product key from Windows 10 or from a matching edition of Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1. Residents of the United States who don't own a qualifying Windows license can skip entering a product key and purchase a license online from the Windows Store after setup is complete.
That's primarily dependent on the performance of your system. Windows Setup uses hardlinks to migrate data files, so the amount of data files shouldn't have a significant effect on install times. Over the past few versions, Microsoft has made some changes that speed the process up significantly for the twice-yearly feature updates (see "Windows 10 feature updates painfully slow? Relief is in sight").
Second, you must install Windows 10 on a separate disk partition or physical drive; if you choose the same partition that contains an existing Windows version, you will lose access to that Windows installation. (Your existing data files and all current Windows system files will be moved to the Windows old folder.)
I'm not clear on whether the Bios update got installed after that or it was just cancelled, in any case the latest Windows updates still won't install (which was the reason I tried to update the Bios in the first place)
Imagine if you could upgrade your drinks menu with premium cocktails mixed automatically by a friendly and entertaining bartender? Imagine no more. Cecilia.ai is a smart, interactive bartender that can be placed almost anywhere, serve mixed drinks in less than 30 seconds, and give customers guidance about the menu using AI and speech recognition. This robotic bartending (and super-cool) unit has a small footprint, and could be easily installed and used as the main or an extra bartender in hotels, casinos and cruise ships.
The rise of automation and robots for the food and beverage industry may appear daunting to those who believe machines will ultimately replace humans. However, it seems likely that we will still be around for quite some time. Most of these systems are still quite expensive and are intended for filling in the gaps throughout the workforce (a major issue created by COVID-19), either to work alongside human employees so they can focus on more complex tasks, or just to serve as additional revenue sources or a tourist attraction.
Another disadvantage of this method is the possibility of compatibility issues. Some devices can only play certain video file formats, so you need to determine first whether the contact you are sending the video file to would be able to open the converted video. Plus, installing an extra app on your phone just to send a video can be a waste of storage space and a hassle.
Amazon EC2 allows you to set up and configure everything about your instances from your operating system up to your applications. An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is simply a packaged-up environment that includes all the necessary bits to set up and boot your instance. Your AMIs are your unit of deployment. You might have just one AMI or you might compose your system out of several building block AMIs (e.g., webservers, appservers, and databases). Amazon EC2 provides a number of tools to make creating an AMI easy. Once you create a custom AMI, you will need to bundle it. If you are bundling an image with a root device backed by Amazon EBS, you can simply use the bundle command in the AWS Management Console. If you are bundling an image with a boot partition on the instance store, then you will need to use the AMI Tools to upload it to Amazon S3. Amazon EC2 uses Amazon EBS and Amazon S3 to provide reliable, scalable storage of your AMIs so that we can boot them when you ask us to do so.
The P4 AMIs will need new NVIDIA drivers for the A100 GPUs and a newer version of the ENA driver installed. P4 instances are powered by Nitro System and they require AMIs with NVMe and ENA driver installed. P4 also comes with new Intel Cascade Lake CPUs, which come with an updated instruction set, so we recommend using the latest distributions of ML frameworks, which take advantage of these new instruction sets for data pre-processing.
The SRD functionality will be supported on all operating systems, but please note that ENA Express monitoring metrics will be available on only the EthTool in the latest Amazon Linux AMI or by installing the ENA driver version 2.8.0 or later from GitHub, with all operating systems supporting the metrics in the future.
In order to enable this feature, you must launch an HVM AMI with the appropriate drivers. The instances listed as current generation use ENA for enhanced networking. Amazon Linux AMI includes both of these drivers by default. For AMIs that do not contain these drivers, you will need to download and install the appropriate drivers based on the instance types you plan to use. You can use Linux or Windows instructions to enable Enhanced Networking in AMIs that do not include the SR-IOV driver by default. Enhanced Networking is only supported in Amazon VPC.
We do not support keeping an instance hibernated for more than 60 days. You need to resume the instance and go through Stop and Start (without hibernation) if you wish to keep the instance around for a longer duration. We are constantly working to keep our platform up-to-date with upgrades and security patches, some of which can conflict with the old hibernated instances. We will notify you for critical updates that require you to resume the hibernated instance to perform a shutdown or a reboot. 2ff7e9595c
