For SharePoint Servers 2013 and 2016 and for classic pages in SharePoint Server 2019, you can use Yammer Embed within a script editor web part to add a group feed, user feed, topic feed, Yammer home feed, or an open graph object feed that adds a discussion about an object such as web page.
When a Yammer feed is added using this method, the feed can't be viewed when using a mobile browser or if third-party cookies aren't enabled. For more information about browser support when using a Yammer feed in a script editor web part, see Yammer Embed requirements.
Yammer Feed
The following procedures describe how to add a group feed, my feed, or page feed. For information about other feed types, see Yammer Embed. You can also use the Yammer Embed configuration tool to create the script to use. See Add the Yammer Embed widget to a SharePoint page for how to use the configuration tool.
This example shows an open graph feed for a web page, but you can create feeds for other open-graph objects. The list of valid object types is at Schema > Supported Object Types. For the Highlights (Classic mode) and the Yammer embed script experiences, when you add a Yammer My Feed/Home feed to a SharePoint page, you'll see slightly different messages than the ones included in the Home feed available in Yammer web, desktop, or mobile. The following feed for users will contain messages from people, topics, and files they follow. The My Feed will contain messages from All Company and the user's following feed. In Yammer web, desktop, and mobile, users can select Discovery, All, or Following feeds, but these aren't available in SharePoint pages. The My Feed/Home feed type is closest to the All feed but doesn't include public posts in public groups the user doesn't belong to.Yammer does not have to be the social collaboration tool for SharePoint in order to embed a Yammer feed, but if you want to make Yammer the primary social experience for SharePoint, see Integrate Yammer with on-premises SharePoint environments.
The purpose of the Yammer Discovery feed is to help you keep up with what's happening in your organization. It's useful for finding out what your leadership team, coworkers, and people in other departments are talking about. So check in with the Discovery tab when you want the pulse of what's happening around you. For keeping track of more immediate concerns, use your Yammer Inbox and the Following tab.
Click the "Embed this feed in your site" link, and it will open a dialog with an auto-generated code, but before copy this text, it is recommended that you will remove the width value from the embedded feed div (regardless of what the value is), as shown in the next image:
Note: you have the option to keep the width value from the auto-generated HTML, but then your feed will always have a fixed width, and will not be responsive (it will have the same width on all mobile, tablets and desktop monitors), and that's why we recommend to remove it, so you will have the best user experience.
This easy-to-implement integration enables you to embed a Yammer feed from your domain in an app using the widget of Yammer which can be integrated in a HTML Script widget. Yammer feeds include Group Feed, Topic Feed, User Feed, My Feed and Open Graph Object Feed.
As such, users of the app can see Yammer feeds, use the Like button, take part in discussions and reply directly via the HTML Script widget. These discussions will appear automatically in your Yammer domain and will be visible to connected users.
This video presents an example of how to embed a Yammer group feed called Sales Dashboard Discussion Group in an app, including dashboards on corporate sales figures. This feed enables users to comment on sales figures in real time by adding or replying to discussions.
We tried the zappier route, but were underwhelmed.We were able to use the yammer REST API. We created a O365 account and had that account subscribe to all groups we wanted in the feed. We were then able to use that account's oauth_token with the api calls. We still have to parse the results and only announcements get titles. We're only using Author, Date, Title, and Description.We used the api documented
I am trying to get all the messages from a particular group. I am getting the json feed back. The only problem is, its returning only 20 messages. Is this set as default or something. Is there any way by by which while doing the request, I can specify whether I want all the messages, by default just 20 or even messages posted between the start and the end date?

I'm trying to create a poc to add a yammer feed when an item is created/updated to a list. Works well, but irrespective who adds the list item, flow always adds a feed as me (I'm the author of the flow). Do we have a way to add a feed as a user who added the item to list i.e. if xyz adds a new list item and flow should create a new feed as 'xyz'

Embedded Yammer (Yammer Embeds) community feeds will now include the community name, description, and ability to join/leave at the top of the community feeds by default. When clicked, the community name will take users to the community page in Yammer.
We use Yammer & I'm checking if there is a possibility to display Yammer feed in a widget within a Jira dashboard. Using macros, I see there is a possibility in Confluence but not in Jira. Also, I'm not sure of the possibility of using embed code from yammer.
This approach is not limited to Group feeds. Using Yammer Embed, you can display a Discovery feed, a Group Feed, a Topic Feed, a User Feed or an Open Graph object feed. Note that users of a Tab containing a Yammer feed may need to log in first in order to view the feed (though this should be a rare occurance)

Once posted user cannot have much edit options like changing/updating the image/modifying the image and customization for yammer web part in SharePoint Modern Page on any sort as The ability to change attachments (files and images) is not currently supported.

This is where I discovered something called the Yammer app. In SharePoint 2013, you may have seen something called the App Store, and you may have already explored or may not.\nFor me, it was kind of a new experience, to be honest. I\u2019ve seen it many times, but I\u2019ve never actually set it up myself in my environment. What I found interesting is I spent a couple of hours trying to get that working, setting up just the app service on your environment. Let me tell you, even with the TechNet articles, with all of the blogs available out there, there is something that really, really bugged me.\nOnce you\u2019ve got it set up everything works fine, but for the apps to work in your environment be careful when you set up all of those steps with the outer shell to make the app service work. Because you may have \u2013 and this is how I learned it \u2013 to delete the default IIS website on your server. Because of things happening with IIS and the host header sent, the apps actually live in a separate domain which is where a lot of the problems with the CSS and the JavaScripts that belong to SharePoint that Yammer or any app actually needs to properly load can\u2019t properly get them, because it thinks that it\u2019s going to the default IIS website.\nIn short, guys, if you\u2019re going to set up the app service to get the Yammer app or any other app, be careful when you\u2019re following the step by step process, because you may have to delete the default IIS website if you\u2019re using host headers in your web applications. I learned that the hard way. However, once I got it working I was able to add the Yammer app and explore tons of other apps in the App Store. I\u2019m really starting to enjoy it. Check it out.\nYammer Group and SharePoint Team Site now integrated\n \nNow, if you\u2019re still wondering hey, what is Yammer, is it worth it to bring it into my environment with my SharePoint, because of course with Office 365, it\u2019s kind of already integrated. What you can do is in the future every time you\u2019re going to create a Yammer group it\u2019s even going to create a SharePoint team site, sort of a custom template behind it, so that when people add documents, it\u2019s going to go into that site. Honestly, some cool things are happening.
